Hank Wells is Founder and President of Sam Hill Entertainment, one of the country’s leading live entertainment agencies for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. After graduating from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Hank founded the company in 1995 with a simple goal: help people create unforgettable events through exceptional live music. More than three decades later, that vision has grown into a nationally recognized entertainment company representing some of the industry’s most sought-after bands and performers.

Throughout Sam Hill’s history, Hank has remained closely involved in every aspect of the business, from artist development and talent recruitment to client relationships and long-term strategy. Under his leadership, the company has earned a reputation for pairing extraordinary musicians with an exceptional client experience, serving tens of thousands of couples, event planners, and organizations across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. His commitment to quality, professionalism, and lasting partnerships has shaped the culture of the company since its founding.

Outside the office, Hank enjoys hiking, camping, skiing, and mountain biking with his wife, Shannon, and their two children. He’s also a musician himself, playing upright bass, and is always on the lookout for the perfect Italian sub.
