Two words for Eight Past Midnight – ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. I would book them again in a heartbeat and HIGHLY recommend them for anybody booking an event that wants a highenergy, funloving, and absolutely awesome band. We had so many people approach us during and after the reception and wanted to know how we found Eight Past Midnight. We had so many comments about how great they performed!
There wasn’t a person in the house that wasn’t on the dance floor! My 81year old fatherinlaw spent the entire evening on the dance floor. Durk’s 89year old grandmother also spent time on the floor.
Kristen and I are still talking about how they spent time off the stage dancing with all on the floor – just amazing.
Can’t say enough about this band – we are so ecstatic they were able to part of Emily and Durk’s special day!!

Cathryn and Andrew's wedding was 6 weeks ago and we are still talking about how awesome Eight Past Midnight was. They delivered the PARTY that Cathryn wanted and kept our guests on the dance floor until the very last song. They engaged our guests, allowed Cathryn and me to get on stage and sing.
One of Andrew's groomsmen got to jam out on the guitar with the band! Another FUN thing they did was have a dance competition between the guys and girls: they separated them on the dance floor and encouraged each side to go head to head Cathryn WON the danceoff It was so great.

Eight Past Midnight was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding! In my first conversation with Gloria, I explained how I wanted the dance floor full the entire night and they delivered. It was overflowing the whole night with people dancing and having a great time. Seriously, the dance floor was full for 4 straight hours even in the hot Virginia summer weather! I only had a couple requests for songs and trusted them to curate a set list that kept everyone engaged and dancing. They learned our first dance song (and crushed it), incorporated Happy Birthday for one of my guests, and had my sister join them on stage for a song never missing a beat. Other than being excellent performers, we chose them over other bands because of their crowd interaction and ability to keep everyone entertained and included all night. They know how to start the party and keep it going the whole time. No one wanted their set to end, especially me! I can’t recommend them enough and I hope they make an appearance at my guests' future weddings because I want to see them perform again and again!

Our wedding was 3/6/21, and people are still talking about how good this band was. From the getgo, Sam Hill Entertainment was wonderful to work with. Then, on my wedding day, the band showed up in just the most pleasant of moods. They were a part of my first look photos, and they added to the moment. There are no words to describe how perfect their performance was during our reception. Everyone was up and dancing! The talent in this band is unreal. You CANNOT go wrong with hiring this band. I can't tell you enough how much we loved the band members in Eight Past Midnight. Our wedding planner said that when they arrived that day they were all very pleasant and were laughing and having a good time. She said that set the tone for the day.
I loved them so much I hardly got off the dance floor. Their music was terrific and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I had so may compliments about how great they were. Just as good, if not better, than the other higher priced entertainment. Really liked the brass and on one song, the saxophonist did an amazing job finishing up on the song.
Overall I give them an 11 out of 10. They were fantastic. I will make sure I go to the Knot and leave a review (if I can figure it out). If not, I will get Kelsey to do it. :)

Eight Past Midnight was amazing! Everyone we have talked to since the wedding has commented on how great they were from our parents and their friends, to our friends who are our age. They really were the perfect band for the entire age range, so everyone was dancing all night. Not just the younger people. They played some current things, but they mostly played timeless songs that everyone knew. It was great because there were people on the dance floor who I never expected to be out there. And their energy was so much fun. They were having a lot of fun and it translated into the crowd. I truly can’t say enough good things about them. They were perfect and I am so so so so happy that we were able to have them perform at our reception!!! I just feel very lucky that we were able to book them!

She also relayed my day of point of contacts, Tiffany Ivy & Evin Gibson, well in advance so I knew exactly who to find when they arrived. I knew with the uncertainty of the weather forecast, it would be best to discuss a rain plan scenario ahead of time for Saturday. Gloria relayed the band’s policy on the weather call and said that they could be flexible on the day of. This was music to my ears!
From the moment the sound tech arrived onsite yesterday, I knew that it was going to be a fun and stressfree day. He checked in with me and we caught up to speed on the timeline for the day. He also asked where the band could unload which I truly appreciated. The couple had moved their ceremony onsite due to COVID, and the band jumped in to help run the sound as well. Upon the band’s arrival, I was introduced to Tiffany & Evin. They were already aware of the timeline that I had sent Gloria earlier in the week for the run of show. We were a little delayed in getting the band green room ready and sanitized for them due to the bridal party getting ready onsite. The band was so flexible and we gave them a back up room while they patiently waited for their dressing room.
Before the band started their first set, Evin made sure to check in with me about introductions for the bride and groom. They were being led in by the saxophonist and we wanted to make sure timing was perfect. I think this was by far the BEST B&G announcement I have witnessed in my 6 years at CCV. The saxophonist ushered the bride & groom into the tent and then they went right into first dances. Evin also went through the specialty dance songs to make sure we were all set – somehow the first dance was wrong on my timeline and thank goodness Evin checked before we got started. He was efficient and easy to work with.
WOW the energy the band brought right from the start was amazing! They are a true party band and get the crowd engaged. The flow of the night could not have gone better and the entire band were truly a pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the whole crew of Eight Past Midnight. They were a breath of fresh air and I will definitely be recommending them to my future clients.
It was truly a team effort last night and I thought things couldn’t have gone better! The family was SO happy with everything and I have to give the band a lot of credit for that. The band communicated with me and my assistant right from the start and we kept things moving right along. I can’t wait to have them back at CCV to play! This was truly one of my best experiences I have had with a Sam Hill band. Thank you for all you do! Last night felt somewhat back to “normal” and it felt good to see people having fun and celebrating again. Please pass along my feedback to the band. I owe them big time for such a fun and seamless evening for the GehoFinney wedding.

There aren't enough words I could come up with to describe how great Eight Past Midnight was, and they completely justified our decision to book through you guys and specifically to book them. The entire process leading up to the wedding was easy, and after seeing the finished product, it's clear they listened to our specific directions regarding songs to play, not play, songs to start with, songs to end with, etc. It was easy to communicate, handle payments, coordinate logistics... and that's very important considering the stresses that come with wedding planning. It's nice to not have to worry about the band.
They were extremely friendly when we met and interacted with them, both before the reception and afterwards. Most importantly, they sounded amazing and were a huge hit. The dance floor was packed all night and there are countless videos of friends & family dancing to the music, singing with the band, having the best time of their lives. The lead singer (female don't remember her name) came down into the crowd with the microphone and interacted with everyone. Even typing this out now and recapping everything is making me sad that it's over.
We'll definitely be recommending them to anyone who's looking, and I'm happy to leave a review or feedback somewhere else for you guys.

All of the band members were incredibly talented, and the three lead singers were the best I've seen and were so much fun to watch! They did an amazing job coming out into the audience to sing with us, but our guests loved dancing and singing with them, regardless...the minute they started playing after dinner, everyone was out there! They did such a great job learning a new song (that was, hopefully, fun for them to learn) for our first dance, and the rest of their song list was totally on point for the party. I can't express how much fun we had with them there, and how grateful we are to them for performing for our event. All of our friends and family were as in love with them as we were, so I hope that we can write a review of them elsewhere...we will 100% recommend them to anyone else looking for a band in the future! As an aside, working with Gloria Burton was also great. She was so easy to work with and even when we did things a little last minute, she accommodated!

My daughter, Lauren Webb, was married on 9/29 and the band we selected for their wedding was Eight Past Midnight. I cannot say enough good things about them. They were on point with everything and made the reception so lively and so fun. The music they selected was perfect and kept the dance floor full all night long. They played perfect prerecorded light jazz during cocktail hour, then transitioned to live jazz during dinner, and then ramped it up to dance music for the rest of the evening. We loved their energy and the way they interacted with the guests on the dance floor. They were such a fun band and perfect for a wedding reception. So many of our guests raved about the music.

The band was great and I appreciate you steering me to them. In the months leading up to the event, I was able to communicate well with Gloria Burton on the logistics of the evening and the set lists. The bands performance was exactly what I wanted....high energy and engaging. I was worried that our older crowd would slip out early and we would be left with an empty dance floor, but thanks to the band's engaging attitude, we had to force folks off the floor at the end of the evening.
My most pleasant surprise of the day was the band's incredibly early arrival and set up. The party was not until 7:00 pm and I had anticipated pacing the parking lot at 6:30 wondering where the band was, expecting the usual excuses of traffic or other unforeseeable logistics thwarting their effort to be on time. When I went to the club at 11:00 am to erect some flags for the evening, I was thrilled to find that the band was already there and in fact was pretty much finished with the set up. Besides their excellent musical performance and their stellar attitudes, this early arrival and preparation impressed me the most.
