Everything was beyond fabulous! The band was incredibly accommodating allowing the two dads and our older daughters husband to join in for three songs. They had everybody on their feet all night long still have blisters to prove it! Their sound was awesome, energy thru the roof, and kindness like you wouldn’t believe.

I am not sure of the name of the lead singer but he was incredible. We had a relative spill out of their chair and onto the dance floor during my dad's speech and he helped him get back in his chair!

I'm reaching out to give you feedback on Queen City Band from our wedding on 10/2/21 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Our event was blacktie, and the band showed up looking awesome! We spoke before the guests arrived, and I could immediately tell that they were going to put on a great party before they even began. They did an awesome job MCing the first dance, toasts, etc., including a special story from my motherinlaw about the song she was dancing to for her dance with my husband. Once the party began, the band was AMAZING! It was a party from start to finish. The song selection was perfect, including playing several songs that we had requested to hear and a good balance of new and old songs that all guests could dance to. In the following days, we heard from many of our guests that it was as much fun as they'd ever had at a wedding, and I largely credit Queen City Band for that. Overall, they were professional, sounded great and put on one of the best concerts we had been to. I cannot recommend them enough. They were worth every single penny!

From a planning perspective, they were very easy to work with. Showed up early, done with sound check on time, very flexible for anything we requested. It was actually one of the easiest bands I’ve ever worked with. I would definitely recommend them for future events.

We booked Queen City Band for March of 2020, and we moved our wedding to March of 2021 due to COVID. They were very helpful and professional throughout the process of moving our wedding all the way up to the night of our wedding. They and Sam Hill Entertainment were flexible and communicated the entire time in a prompt manner. On the day of our wedding, they brought 9 of their band members, 2 of which performed at cocktail hour as well, and they all absolutely killed it! Every song they played was amazing, and they even had some unique remixes that were crowd favorites. Queen City Band was always ensuring we were having a good time with their fun spirits. The band was the highlight of our wedding, and everyone spoke so highly of them for the remaining weeks afterwards. We are looking forward to seeing them again in the future for other weddings or events! HIGHLY recommend!

Queen City Band played at our oldest son’s Wedding Reception, this past Saturday, in WinstonSalem, North Carolina. QCB was fantastic at all levelscontract and pre reception business logistics, work with family on play list, day of concert set up, reception traditions (father of the bride/bride dance, mother of the groom/groom dance and bride/groom dance) and the reception dance.

QCB performed at our son’s wedding reception recently, and I have nothing but rave reviews to share. They were a high energy, talented band that was easy to work with and very accommodating. They communicated well prior to the event and developed a playlist that was just what the bride and groom asked for. They even learned the three “first dance” songs that we requested. Their high energy, nonstop performance kept our guests on the dance floor the entire time! The band members were super friendly and engaging and even invited the wedding guests on stage to participate! Everyone, even my 86yearold wheelchair bound mother, was in on the nonstop fun. QCB really hit the mark and helped create the perfect atmosphere for our reception!

The band was AWESOME! High energy, great voices, wonderful balance, great lights, crowd participation….everything was WONDERFUL!
Also, I am one of those people that doesn’t love super loud music…the band was very sensitive to that and their sound guy (Malachi I think) was VERY kind and honored my request to not be too loud. Sound balance was PERFECT!

Thanks so much for your email. We had the best time, and QCB was one of the biggest parts of that — you could probably tell from how our guests could not get enough of you! Every comment we got that night and since has included a nod to your amazing band. I don’t think people have ever had so much fun at a wedding. One of our friends from NYC said to me, “Thank you for inviting me. This is something I’ll never forget” as he looked out on the crowd dancing. I was like omg, this is really special, and it’s not just me feeling it!
Demond, I really appreciated your personal professional approach and the sincerity of your singers. Dancing with the leads and moving to every song, it felt like the band were our guests having a great time with us and wishing us the best for our love, while never overstepping or having a “too talkative DJ” vibe 😂. When we looked online at Sam Hill Entertainment, we watched so many videos, but the videos of you all stole our hearts and even with a bigger price than we had planned for, we knew we had to make it work because of how much we loved your sound and style. I’m extremely glad we did it, in person was even more fantastic; the 4 lead singers were so fun to dance with, so sweet and sincere and the energy of the whole band could not be matched. Brandon and I joke how no one did the reception activities we planned because we couldn’t pull them from the dance floor 😂
I know this is much longer than anything you would want to post, so fee free to hack away at it but I really wanted to express just how special our experience was with you all. You have something really special, I’m glad we could mix it up with our something special.

Early on, my wife and I discussed our budget and knew that the biggest priority for us was a GREAT LOCAL BAND. I come from a musical family so, we were not picking just any band. Loved your videos and dug a little deeper to see reviews and had a great feeling about you, based on your catalog. I was super glad that your band was having as much fun as our guests I mentioned that our dessert was ready to be announced during the next break, and your frontman replied I'm not taking a break I'm having too much fun! The band participating in our Soul Train was the highlight of everyones experience. We've had friends and family asking us how we found QCB and I keep telling people DO YOUR RESEARCH. I just wanted to say, I feel like you and your band were THE BEST VENDOR INVESTMENT I made of the entire wedding. I SERIOUSLY COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A BETTER BAND!!!! There were so many things/vendor issues that went wrong that day, but I have said over and over, the band being as amazing as y'all were, made everything better!!
You seriously were fantastic in keeping our guests entertained, mixing the song for my dad and I to dance too, letting Alan's groomsmen karaoke, and then letting my dad and I sing Proud Mary!!

They played a great variety of music, including some oldies that we requested (MJ, Nat King Cole), along with more modern tunes. Also, our wedding planner commented that communication with the band (or perhaps you?) was impressive and very helpful. I will now go on the knot and give a review too.
Thanks so much to Queen City Band. We won't hesitate to suggest them to others in the future :).

I have been planning events for almost 20 years and have worked with many live bands and I have to say that Queen City Band has got to be one of the best! When I say this band bought the “heat” I mean it! They played a variety of music that kept my group on the dance floor the entire 2 ½ hours. The party was so live the band never took a break. One of the lead vocalist even steeped into the crowd to sing and dance with some of the guest. The interaction with the crowd was amazing, the vocals were off the chain and the overall sound was the bomb.com! I told Demond what I was looking for and he made sure the band gave me that and a little something extra. This group was professional yet personal which made the experience much more fun! When my next event is within travelling distance of Queen City Band please note that this event planner will definitely reach out again!

Queen City Band played at my daughter’s reception in Atlanta in June, 2019. They were fantastic!
Not only are they musically talented, they know how to get a party going. They didn’t play very long before everybody at the reception headed to the dance floor. The band’s enthusiasm and love for what they do is infectious and it naturally pulls people in.
I truly felt like they were a partner with us in a mutual effort to make sure everybody had a great and memorable time at the wedding. They were an essential part of the success of the event.

Good afternoon Mike. I wanted to let you know how simply amazing Queen City Band is and how much our community thoroughly enjoyed their performance.
Our folks that came to their concert, want them back. People that missed them want to know if they are coming back. SIMPLY AMAZING and SUPER ENTERTAINING – add to their description that they are GREAT for community concerts/events. Four hours and they never repeated a single song. Folks were still coming to the park to hear them after 9:00 and the dance area was packed when the time had come to stop for the night. I would recommend these guys to EVERY community interested in bringing a party to their stage!!!!!

Sam Hill Entertainment and Queen City Band saved our day! After we had to postpone our wedding due to Hurricane Florence, we were scrambling to find a new band (our original one was booked for our new day). Sam Hill Entertainment was easy to work with, quick to respond, and Queen City Band was exactly the band we wanted! They were super high energy, had a great set list, and kept our guests on the dance floor. I'm still getting told how awesome our band was, we had guests asking us for more info that day because they wanted to book Queen City Band for their kids' weddings. Honestly, we were so fatigued from having to replan our wedding and they were so easy to work with that it was one of our easiest adjustments. I can't refer this band enough!
