10 Spot completely made our wedding and no one can stop talking about them! They even let Matt play sax with them for a song and it was AMAZING! Jacqueline and the band are phenomenal and they were a delight to work with and so accommodating of everything we asked for. Our dance floor was full ALL NIGHT for 3 straight hours. We love them and so did our guests.

Andy from the Sam Hill team was amazing during the 3 years we worked together. He easily facilitated all of our Covid postponements and the band we booked (The 10 Spot) was absolutely amazing! Start to finish, they kept everyone dancing and having a great time. They learned our first dance song for us, and they accommodated a special request from my dad to play Sweet Child of Mine during the reception. At the end of the night, we hadn't heard Shout! or Country Roads (which were songs we were really looking forward to hearing) and they came back after finishing as a little encore to make sure we got to hear both. It was fantastic and we so appreciate that extra effort. Thank you so much for helping our wedding be the best day ever!

I HIGHLY recommend Sam Hill Entertainment and 10 Spot!! 10 Spot was allaround AMAZING and we had such a great experience leading up to and on our wedding day. We received SO many compliments from our guests, and having a live band was one of the best parts of the night.

We were put in contact with Jacqueline of 10 Spot a couple months before the date and she was so great to work with. We received regular, clear communication and all of our song requests were accommodated. I love that multiple members of the band sing vocals (INCREDIBLY) and that they have an extensive song list covering multiple genres of music. My older family members were surprised and delighted that they knew a lot of the songs (we requested a ton of Motown), mentioning that they expected not to know much. The modern hits (Dua Lipa, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, etc.) were a big hit with our friends, and it was a GREAT mix. 10 Spot had everyone on the dance floor the entire night and it was truly the BEST and most fun night ever.

We had to postpone twice due to COVID and Sam Hill made the entire process easy both times, alleviating a lot of stress on our end. They were incredibly understanding and flexible with us we originally booked a different band that was unavailable for our new date and they let us know which bands were available, and allowed us to transfer/apply our deposit to 10 Spot. They also offered the option to donate a portion of our deposit to the original band to help offset the financial impact of the pandemic, and we really appreciate their efforts to support the bands they manage during this uncertain time.

We thought that 10 Spot was simply awesome! Every interaction we had with a band member was professional and very friendly. In particular, these are some things that stood out to me:
Jacqueline was so easy to communicate with via email prior to the event, and I appreciated how she was willing to make a change to their set schedule in order to fit in a playlist that we had made in honor of the rain we were supposed to get that day. Miraculously, it ended up not raining (so we didn't need the playlist) and they were accommodating yet again to revert their set schedule back to the original plan. I had been so stressed about the rain that week, but Jacqueline's willingness to make this change and the ease and positivity at which she took this request really helped me feel better about the unfortunate forecast that day.
Also, Jacqueline made a few points during the evening to add in some personal touches for us that made it really feel like they were there for us that night: 1) By announcing the father/daughter dance by saying a tradition that they did not get to do last year at their small covidsized wedding... and 2) when she told everybody to go get some honey from the favors table and showed a jar to the crowd.
This group did a phenomenal job of reading the room and choosing all the right songs to keep the energy alive throughout the night. Whether they had planned to or not, they extended the We Are Family song into a jam session because they saw how much my family was getting into the song and dancing together up front. That song was one of the highlights of my evening because of that.
Finally, we had so many people tell us how much fun they thought the band was. Sam and I remarked how we are not normally ones to dance the whole evening at a wedding, yet this time we hardly left the dance floor. Their energy was so much fun, and we were big fans of the song selection.
We will absolutely spread the 10 Spot name to anyone looking for event music in the area. Thank you for helping coordinate them for us!

Just a quick note to tell you how great everything went with 10 Spot. They are an absolutely fabulous band and we are continuing to get comments from guests on what a great band at the reception! Folks loved that they had multiple lead singers, the solos were fantastic (guitar, sax, drum), played great danceable songs and just overall were wonderful! From the perspective of the bride/groom, we loved that they played many of our suggested favorites, read our crowd so well and knew the songs to play, and learned the mother/son dance song for us with relatively limited time to learn it. The band members were gracious and nice all evening long and Jacqueline especially was so easy to work with during the last couple of months in preparation for the wedding. They were exactly the band we wanted for our reception in every way!

The wedding was beautiful, thank you! We were all overwhelmed by the band! They were absolutely fantastic. The dance floor was packed for 3 hours with dancing to all our favorite songs. The band played a variety of excellent oldies and soft music during the dinner hour and then went strong afterwards in that I don't think anyone left the dance floor. They made the evening so much fun. The band was professional, kind and considerate to all request and even played one last song after the time they were to finish at the request of the crowd!!

From working with you through Sam Hill during the hiring and booking process to working with the Band personally, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about you all. Gray and the entire 10 Spot Band were PHENOMENAL! The music playing during dinner was spot on…with just the right tempo and volume. When I saw people getting up during dinner to dance, I knew we had the right band, because I knew what was coming during the next set

We were thrilled with the band! The entire experience with your agency and the band was stress free. The booking process was efficient and communication was excellent. Gray was cooperative and we worked well together. I appreciated your allowing me to hire the extra sax player locally which pleased my wife. We stressed that we had a dancing crowd and they had a packed dance floor ALL NIGHT LONG! Seriously. They were great.
Having led a band of my own for so many years, I particularly appreciated Gray's handling of the timing. As usual, dinner ran long so by the time the band started the main dance set, it wasn't long before cake cutting. To their credit, instead of taking an untimely break that would have killed the momentum, the band stayed on stage for the cutting then continued without a break until the end. I had that same mindset when I played forget what the contract entitles, you do what serves the party best. Kudos to him and the band!

We don't have a single negative thing to say about 10 Spot or Sam Hill.
The band was very easy to work with (Gray Finnegan was our main contact) before the wedding. They accommodated us and our venue very easily. In addition, the set list that they played was perfect. There was rarely a moment when the dance floor wasn't jammed with people.
This may count as the second time dealing with Sam Hill... My brother Alex Corini booked another one of your bands for his wedding this past April. All of us could not be more pleased.

10 Spot was AMAZING!!!! They seriously had the dance floor going all night long and I received many compliments on their performance throughout the night and after the wedding. They are incredible singers and musicians and I was wowed by their ability to choose the best songs for each part of the evening with no input from myself. Even during their breaks, they played recorded songs that were perfect for keeping the party going. Our wedding seriously would not have been as fun without them! I would recommend them a million times over for any wedding or other event.
In addition, Gray was a pleasure to work and communicate with. He was flexible, amendable, and incorporated several changes to our order of events in the days leading up to the wedding. He was an amazing announcer throughout the evening and made the process so easy for us! We had a very narrow time frame between the ceremony and reception, and 10 Spot was able to make it work.
I have already passed along Sam Hill Entertainment to my engaged friends and will continue to do so! Big thanks to you and your team for helping us nab a dream band for our special day!

To put it lightly, I could not have asked for a better band to play at my wedding. I can echo my mother's words in her email that the band members were not only engaging and kept us on our feet (literally), but also VERY friendly. I found it rather interesting and very cool that the male lead singer played with my best friend's dad back in the 80s and he even confirmed it with a photo he had on his phone of the two of them looking rather...groovy.
The music selection appealed to all ages, they played music during their breaks, and they were very entertaining. I feel like a terrible bride because I don't think I left the dance floor for more than 5 minutes and because of that, I missed the opportunity to greet several of our guests and thank people for coming. For that, I blame the band. ;)
If I ever have the opportunity to hire a band again (let's hope it isn't for another wedding), I will certainly look to 10 Spot. I just had the BEST time and I know that everyone else did as well. We received several compliments about all aspects of the wedding, but especially the good time that was had thanks to the band.
Please let them know what an amazing time we had and please also thank them for allowing Peter Pope to play a song with them because it really meant a lot to my husband and I.

I can’t tell you what a great time we all had and how much everyone loved 10 Spot. Some people stayed out on the dance floor the entire evening. The music selection was varied and appealed to a broad audience. The band members were all so friendly and very engaging with the guests. I can’t say enough about the singing, playing, and the entire tone of the evening.
I also appreciate the fact that they were willing to arrive extra early to set up and have their sound check completed prior to the start of the ceremony music. They were good sports about riding a shuttle bus 6 miles down the beach to and from the house. I only wish I had booked them to play longer because we hated to see them pack up and leave!!!
As it turns out, the father of one of Kate’s best friends was in attendance and was a past band mate of one of the band members. He actually even had a picture on his cell phone from the 80’s, that showed the 2 of them together…LOL The band allowed him to come up and play a song with them for Kate. It was a magical moment for Kate and all her friends.
Can’t say enough about this group and hope we have an opportunity to book their services again.

Thanks for sending your congrats! We had an incredible time. So many people commented on how perfect 10 Spot was. Great set list, great energy, and lively stage presence. The flow of the evening was excellent. AND, in my opinion, they sounded much better in person than they did in any of the online videos!
Quick story: One of my super drunk college friends ended up on stage dancing with the band and they handled everything in stridethey were true professionals (even in the presence of adults acting like children).
Another quick story: we really wanted to get my cousin Marina (an aspiring musician with an awesome voice) involved somehow, so we had her sing with the band for our first dance. They were very accommodating, helped her think through all the details and nuances of this style of performance (versus coffeeshop acoustics) and made time for Marina to practice with them beforehand. They made sure she felt comfortable and it went perfectly.
I know at least a few people grabbed their business cards on the way out. You guys at Sam Hill have been great to work with and made everything super easy. We will certainly be referring you to friends and family!

They were so much fun, their music was perfectly coordinated with the flow of the evening, and our guests have been raving about them since Saturday evening. You may also be happy to know that I believe a couple of guests who are planning events in the future approached the band to ask for their business card, etc.
Gray was very easy to correspond with leading into our event, and when we needed to update information or make any changes, he was quick with his response time and ensured everything was covered.

From my perspective and the perspective of every guest who came up specifically to tell me, the music was perfect.
10 Spot was spot on !!!! I had so many people come up to me and compliment us on the band. I have been to weddings where the band made it about them, not the dance party. We don’t enjoy that. 10 Spot was able to judge the crowd, build the tempo, play great oldies as well as new stuff and the dance floor was always full. I just wished we'd had a bigger dance floor.
My best friend from NYC, who just had us up for his daughter’s wedding in Sept. and who is a big music fan, was totally taken aback by how great the band was and kept complimenting me on our hiring them. I told them personally before they left and will tell you that I would recommend 10 Spot for any wedding or special occasion. Ann even said she regretted not having another event for which we could hire them in the future.

10 Spot really hit it out of the park during the reception. They had everyone from the 20somethings to a couple of 80+ year olds tearing up the dance floor. Their choice of music, from the “dinner tunes” to when they really got cranked up was outstanding. The dance floor was always packed and at the end the crowd was chanting “10 more songs!” They were truly exceptional in everyway.

After things wound down, John from the band spoke with both Charlie and me and told us both how much they enjoyed playing the event. John said the band enjoyed themselves so much it was the kind of gig they would have played for free. He also took the time to tell me that he thought Charlie was a great young man and true gentleman which he certainly didn’t have to do.

I would strongly recommend 10 Spot for any event and would gladly provide them a recommendation.

It was AMAZING! We had a great time, and honestly there was a moment during dinner where the girl was singing and I had our waitress go and give her a thumbs up because it was just BEAUTIFUL.

Not knowing anything about a wedding or where to start, my bride and I chose to book 10 Spot. Music is a hobby of mine and has been from boyhood so I was certainly a critical client. We had a few logistic issues at my wedding, it was held at a private residence and it was outdoors, new construction to boot. I let Gray know and he was more than willing to listen and even suggest solutions. Gray had answers to questions I didn't even know I had. I even gave Gray and his crew the father daughter dance song just hours before the wedding and he made it happen. Thanks! Gray and his guys performed like true musicians and I say this having logged hundreds of live shows in my time. We had a slight problem with a breaker at the house but Gray and his crew were so strong, during ‘Don't Stop Believin’ by Journey the power cut, the crowd was singing the chorus on the dance floor and when the power came back on the band picked up right in sync with the crowd’s chorus, like I said, true musicians and very impressive. Also, the lead guitar player didn't miss a note during ‘Sweet Child of Mine’ which says a lot. Thank you Gray and 10 Spot for making our wedding better than we expected.

Gray was great with communication and following my instructions and timeline and they were beyond cooperative with equipment setup. The family loved them and one of the guests (I learned this yesterday when talking to the bride’s mother) said there were moments when she turned to see if the band was actually playing she thought she was hearing a cd or recording of the song instead of the band they were so good. And the song they learned sounded better than the artist that recorded it, in my opinion. They were a pleasure.

I've been in the music business since 1965. These guys need to change their name to First Spot, they put on one of the BEST SHOWS that I've seen. They were great to meet. Speaking for both myself and Corinne, we could not have had a better experience working with both Sam Hill and 10 Spot. You guys were flexible and worked with us early on when we had some technical issues and just made everything easy. Thank you.
10 Spot was great. They were also easy to work with. More so, though, they were just really good. Everyone I have spoken with—younger and older has immediately mentioned how good the band was and what a good time they had as a result. I really think it was a huge part of our wedding being a success. They also learned two songs for us—both our first dance song and one for my dance with my Mother. We were 100% expecting the first dance song to be played on a CD, but when we heard them rehearsing it, it was really cool. Plus they sounded great.
It was a really, really good experience all around. I would not hesitate to recommend both Sam Hill and 10 Spot to anyone I know looking for a live band.

The band was incredible!!!! They got people to dance (ie my Grandma who doesn't leave the couch) that haven't in years and I think at least half of the guests came up to me to rave about them. The only letdown from our guests was that they weren't coming to our after party which was a rumor someone started, ha! Their music selection was a perfect blend of oldies and modern and their finale with Shout was the icing on the cake. I will be sure to give their info to all of my engaged friends so I can hopefully hear them again in the near future!

10 spot was perfect. From the discussions leading up to the wedding, dealing with some last minute changes, and executing everything on Wedding day, it was all first class. Gray and the band were great to deal with and managed our challenging logistical situations perfectly. We received tremendous compliments from almost everyone in attendance and many have reached out in hope to see them at one of their events in the future.

I highly recommend them to anyone in the future and hope that we can again one day bring them to a special event of ours.

Sorry it has taken me so long to return the email! We have been in Argentina and Chile for our honeymoon!
The band was GREAT! I was very busy w/guest etc but I do know I danced to several songs and the floor was flooded w/people most of the evening after we got started. I had several people ask where the band was from etc. Of course I gave them the Sam Hill entertainment info! Nothing but compliments about 10 Spot after the party...even days after I received text and emails asking about the band. So.....there you have it!
Hope you are doing well and I'm sure your band is busy w/the upcoming holiday events etc. Stay in touch! Maybe someday Jerry and I can have the Dickens play @ another occasion??

The band was by far my best wedding investment...they were phenomenal! The dance floor was full the entire night! My guests are still approaching me with compliments about the band. Gray was great to work with! I know several of my guests asked for their card after the wedding; everyone was blown away. I would definitely recommend them. I hope I get to see them again!!

Sorry for the long delay in responding, but it's been a crazy busy few weeks since the wedding. 10 SPOT were absolutely incredible! We could not have been happier with the band. They are great musicians and total professionals. They had the dance floor jam packed from the start of the reception. Laura and I particularly like how the energy
levels built up over the course of the evening. They played a lot of songs early in the set that really encouraged some of our older guests out on the dance floor (but the songs were really fun ones, so everybody was up on their feet). The songs got faster/livelier/newer over the course of the evening and everyone just continued to dance the night away. It was awesome. Please pass along our sincere thanks and
appreciation to the guys!
A couple of highlights for me: My 76 yearold dad being twirled around the dance floor by this beautiful young French woman (wife of friend). My dad said he thought he might have a heart attack, but at least he'd die with a smile on his face! I also got to dance with Laura's 93 yearold grandmother, which was incredible because we thought she might not even be able to make the wedding due to age/declining health. But she was on that dance floor for a good while!
Thanks again for all your help in arranging the band. They were perfect for the occasion and all of our friends have given similar feedback about how great they were. If ever we are throwing a party with a band, we would definitely come back to Sam Hill and 10 SPOT would be at the top of the list. I do not know anyone getting married in the near future, but if and when I hear such plans, I'll definitely recommend they check you out.

I would highly recommend them to friends and family. Gray was very accommodating and easy to work with through the whole planning process. I am very detail oriented and he was patient with all of my questions. He made me feel confident that everything would go as planned and that I would have nothing to do the day of.
When I arrived at Veritas, the band was set up and ready to go. They were all very friendly and professional. Most importantly, their music was amazing! There were people on the dance floor from the time they started playing until the end of the night. In fact, we saw guests that typically don't dance having the time of their lives dancing.
As a bride and groom, it is very rewarding to look around and see that all of your guests are simply having a great time. Besides the fun crowd, I would attribute a lot of this in our case to 10 Spot and their music.

I'm back in town and wanted to follow up to you. Here are a few of my thoughts!
Band was very responsive before hand Gray was the contact and he was very good, thorough, responsive, etc
Payment was easy
They were super nice and fun the day of
Did an EXCELLENT job with introductions. We chose a kind of different song to play during our introductions (Dallas Mavericks intro tune, because we live in Dallas and they won the NBA last year!) and they downloaded it on iTunes, and believe me I was SO excited when I heard it start for introductions. I believe Gray was the one that did all the names and he got them all correct. Anyway, they had an AMAZING presence with doing all the MCing and were so so so so much better than a DJ
I requested 2 songs and they played them both, live, and they were amazing!!! Party Rock by LMFAO (fairly new song so I'm impressed they knew it!) and Don't Stop Believing by Journey. These were two big highlights.
They did a great job, basically, they kept the dance floor packed and I felt like they played a lot of songs.
They were amazing. I almost chose Another Level because I had heard them play at a friends wedding, but I am SO glad I chose 10 spot. I can't say enough great things about them, so feel free to send anyone my name and email if they are debating using them.

I think everything went well with the venue coordinating with them Veritas staff loves having them play there, so it all worked out flawlessly, in my opinion!

10 Spot was, in one word, perfect. No less than a dozen people came up to my wife and I after the wedding and told us how incredible the band was. Most important to us, they played straight through the last hour and a half of the wedding (which we requested), so Ashley and I were able to dance a ton. This meant a lot to us that they would stick to the schedule we had proposed. Other than that, their song choices were outstanding, and they interacted with everyone in a courteous and energetic way. They sounded great and played songs that kept everyone dancing. They were laid back and so easy to work with prior to the wedding. The night went smooth and we had
an amazing time. We were so pleased they we decided to go with them. It's a night we will never forget.

Andy, thanks for your email. I've been meaning to send you all an email about this! 10 Spot was fantastic! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the band! We gave them last minute special request songs that they performed excellently. Also, they worked with our time schedule to maximize play time. Everyone in the band was extremely professional.
We had a smaller wedding approx 98 people including us and our bridal party. Our concern going in was that people would be too reserved to dance and our wedding would be boring. 10 Spot made our wedding a huge success. There were a few times especially towards the end of the night that I looked out and not a single person was sitting down everyone was on the dance floor. My inlaws were breaking it down with my parents to OutKast! Even our wedding coordinator at the venue was impressed! They did a phenomenal job of gauging the crowd and playing the right songs at the right time.
Everyone has had only the greatest things to say about the band. I can honestly say that 10 Spot made our wedding reception a success. It was a pleasure to work with them especially Gray, who really went out of his way to make sure that we were happy before the reception in terms of the timing, etc. and during the reception.
I will highly recommend 10 Spot to friends and family. My parents even plan to see them occasionally, as they live in Virginia Beach. Thanks again,

Booking 10 Spot through you and your agency was hands down one of THE BEST things we did for our daughter's wedding!
10 Spot was phenomenal! They made the difference between a normal reception and one that all of our guests are still talking about! The dance floor was FULL the entire night! Even the recorded music that they played on their short breaks was so good people kept on dancing! It was like having a band and a DJ! The music never stopped.
Gray Finnegan was so nice to work with, answering all questions and emails promptly.
He also did a fabulous job as an MC, announcing the wedding party and all other items throughout the night.
You know a band has done a great job when at the end of the evening and last song the guests start chanting, One more song, one more song! Much to everyone's delight they did play one more song!

The wedding went off without a hitch and the band was great. I can't tell you how many compliments we got on the songs they played, their interaction with the crowd, the instrumental abilities of the guitarist and bassist, etc. I had a few of my most musically savvy (and musically picky/snobby) friends tell me how good the guitarist was and that they found themselves just watching him play. We definitely had a good crowd at the front of the dance floor the entire night and it was in large part thanks to the band. Erin and I actually were forced to leave during the end of the night by the wedding coordinator so they could prepare for our exit because we didn't want to leave the dance floor. I think they had just gotten done playing Billy Jean and were starting Sweet Child of Mine. Erin's parents also received numerous compliments on the band. Mike,
To say things went a little different than planned on our wedding day would be a bit of an understatement. By the official start time on the big day we had over two feet of snow, the most in half a century before Christmas in Roanoke. About half of the guests had cancelled, the ceremony had to been moved to the hotel at a later time, and the rehearsal had been canned. At some point, the hotel began urging us to arrange for their inhouse DJ to take over the music duties because there was “no way” the band could make it. It’s a good thing we didn’t listen.
We picked the 10 spot because we knew what we were getting. Several friends had seen them perform at an earlier wedding and they came highly recommended. What we didn’t expect however was the tremendous dedication they showed in making it to Roanoke from Va Beach (~300 mi) in the worst snow storm anyone can remember.
Our party was extra special. We had the right mix of people there, all dedicated, excited about being snowed in together, and ready to party after a day of making last minute adjustments. Gray and the gang hit the ground right on time (amazingly) to an already filled dance floor (waiting with anticipation) and didn’t let up for three hours. In the end we were all drenched with sweat, ears ringing, and still wanting more. Maybe it was the craziness of the day but several guests have gone so far as to say that it was the best reception that they have ever been to.
Any band that travels through that mess (for who knows how many hours total) to deliver such a quality show gets the highest recommendation we can give.... to anyone.

We had the best time ever!!! There were 90% of young people and all were dancing all night. The music, sound and the guys were the highlight of the wedding. And one of Davy’s friends got to sing 2 songs with them. Davy even played drums!!! He actually wanted a band just so he can play drums but we didn’t plan on doing it at all. Everyone was so excited seeing Davy playing with the band. We paid them more to stay and play little longer. We couldn’t ask for better band and better day. The songs were just perfect (since I picked most of them). They announced everything just like agreed and hope that they enjoyed the wedding as much as us and everybody.

10 Spot was great. Everyone had a great time and the mother of the groom ended up paying for an extra half hour because people wouldn't stop dancing! The band was very accommodating. The groom is an amateur drummer and when one of the groomsmen told the band leader he brought him on stage to play a song. Everyone loved it and it was very nice of them to personalize it like that. They played the perfect songs for the age group of attendees as well (mostly late twenties) especially towards the end of the night. Earlier when the older crowd was still there, they made sure to play songs that would appeal more to them so it really was a great fit.

Hi Andy,
10 Spot was incredible! Again, they were very easy to work with and were set up by the time the guests arrived at 7PM from the ceremony. They started playing around 9:15 or 9:30 and played until almost 1:00AM. We were going to end the event at midnight, but decided to extend it the day of the event to 1:00AM. They were very accomodating to this change. They played a lot of songs that our parents and the older guests enjoyed during the first set and then played a lot more current songs during the second set. We got loads of compliments from everyone about the band!
We will definitely pass along your information to our friends looking for wedding entertainment.

Andy,
Lots of people have said our reception was the best they've attended, and I think 10 Spot deserves a lot of the credit. They played music that appealed to all ages and really knew how to get the crowd involved. We will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs a band and hope to be able to hear them again sometime ourselves.

You and Allison are actually on my list to followup with this week, so thanks for sending me a note and thanks for the congratulations. 10 Spot was super! They were ALOT of fun and all of my guests commented how fun they were and how great they sounded. They were very profressional to deal with and they played a great set. All was wonderful and thank you and Allison for helping set everything up. I plan to send you and the band a formal thank you note, can I just send one to your attention?
