The band was incredible! ! Hipshack couldn't have been more professional or friendly, and they played their hearts out! So many of our guests were on the dancefloor all night - I think everyone's feet still hurt! :)

Our friends were trying to pay them to keep playing at the end of the night when they had to shut down. We really appreciated the flexibility they showed to add a female singer, learn the first dance, and the- at the last minute- add a sax. They were pleasant and easy-going and were even good sports when a buddy who fancies himself a young Bruce Springsteen took the mike tried to sing "Born to Run."

I loved how they played it. I had also been nervous about the jazzier songs I wanted played during the cocktail hour and dinner because I though that wasn't Hipshack's sweet spot but my concerns were completely unnecessary because that part of the performance was awesome as well. Even my mom said they really exceeded her expectations. I would not have changed a single thing with Hipshack if I could. My only regret is that I could not thank them myself. Hipshack was perfect. Everybody loved the band and the music they played, and we couldn't have been more pleased. We picked Hipshack for the wedding after watching their promo video, checking out their song lists, and listening to their tracks. Their range seemed unparalleled by any other bands out there. Who else could sing Sinatra, Prince, Temptations, Lady Gaga, Van Halen, Journey, The Band, James Taylor, Springsteen (to name a few)? And they sounded really really good, too. Could I really get dance/funk/motown, jazz standards, certain top 40 hits, and classic rock? It actually seemed too good to be true, and as the day approached I was nervous maybe it was.
Well, as it turned out they actually exceeded expectations. They sounded great in each song, and the volume was PLENTY. People were dancing the entire time, and complimenting the band the whole time. Hipshack was better sounding than in their videos and tracks, and as a bonus they backed me up as I sang (or tried to sing) "Born to Run" to my bride toward the end of the party. I'm convinced there's no band out there with as much range as Hipshack, who can put on such a great show and pull off all the songs in their list.
I may be biased, but they were the most fun band at any wedding I've been to. Thanks for making the introduction for us, and if anybody ever asks you can tell them I'd fully recommend these guys.

Just wanted to let you know that Hipshack was absolutely phenomenal! Scott was great to work with during the entire planning process. He took a lot of our input for the playlist and was very adjustable as far as the timing and length of the sets.
Once they started playing you could tell they were going to be very good. Hipshack was a bunch of super talented guys who played everything from Elvis to Cee Lo Green. I've been to a lot of weddings and I've never been as impressed with a band as I was with Hipshack. They were better quality, better energy and better variety than all of the 7-8 piece bands that I've seen previously. Towards the end of the night they played a full 90 minute set that had everyone up and dancing throughout. The next day every wedding guest was raving about how good Hipshack was and how fun the playlist was.
Can't express enough how great they were. I'd strongly recommend them for weddings in the future. Thanks to you for all your help with the booking process. Our reception venue recommended Sam Hill and I'm glad they did. You guys were great answering all questions I had, and were great about responding quickly with good information. Hey Scott,
I just wanted to say thanks to you and the guys of HipShack for the awesome job you did at Susan's and my wedding in Beaufort a couple of weeks ago. You guys were extremely professional, accommodating and most of all you kicked ass! I can't remember the last wedding I've seen or been to that had so many participants on the dance floor. At least any wedding with a live band. You guys sounded great and I'm grateful and thankful to have had you play our wedding and reception. And thank you for accepting my father-in-law's request to allow my brother sit in for a few songs. He's heard me talk many times about Jim being a drummer and welcomed the opportunity to hear him play live. I hope we didn't step on any toes or offend your drummer, Curtis. I think my brother may have gotten a little overly excited and aggressive on the skins but he was so very appreciative to get to play with such talented musicians. He doesn't get that opportunity very often. Please give Curtis my sincere thanks for allowing Jim to sit in. If I can ever offer a reference for you guys please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to catching you guys out and about around town this summer. I really do enjoy your music. Best of luck in the studio and with upcoming gigs. Can't wait to hear the new stuff. Hipshack f***ing killed it man! Everyone loved them. They did an awesome job! I’m not sure if we will be doing anything else as I honestly think we have blown through cash pretty quick this year.Thanks again for setting us up with HipShack they were by far the best band we have had in all 4 years I have been at Davidson.

Hi Hank and Andy,
Ryan and I got back from our honeymoon a little over a week ago... even though it already feels like we've been back a month!
So, I wanted to make sure I downloaded everything from our evening with Hipshack, and because I know you guys like to post feedback on Web site (I know, I posted some of them!), I wanted to make sure I give them every compliment they deserve because they were really great and I think a perfect choice for the night.
To begin with, Scott was a really excellent communicator over e-mail and very accommodating. Ryan and I really wanted one of our friends, Thomas Gunn, to play and sing our first dance for us and the band gladly accommodated our request. Thomas even sat in for a few more songs with them. My dad really wanted our father-daughter dance to be a surprise to me, so they didn't even mind communicating with my father (in addition to working with me) to make sure the night went as we wanted.
As for the actual night, they did exactly what we had hoped-- start off with some oldies/lower tempo stuff and, then, as it got closer to midnight and the lights went down, move into more funk/ modern stuff. They kept it pretty mainstream for us which was what we wanted: Beatles, Stones, Van Morrison, Springsteen, a really cool mix.
Thanks to you both for all of your help and I hope to run into you both soon,

Dear Scott,
I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for creating such an awesome party for our New Year's Eve wedding. Not only were you so accommodating up front, but I really felt like you read our crowd and got them out on the dance floor.
I especially want to thank you for allowing us to include Thomas in our big day. I could tell he was in his element up there and I thought everything worked out beautifully! I also want to thank you for working with my dad to work in that "American Woman" surprise at the beginning of our dance--- I should have known! American Woman might be his favorite song of all time (and he is from Niagara Falls) so I should have known a Canadian rock band would make it into our wedding somehow!
I hope you had a safe trip home, or a safe trip to your next destination.

Things are great...and busy. Thank you for asking. I hope things are well on your end too!!
The wedding was a success and Hipshack was very impressive. The next day the mother of the bride commented that she loved that everyone stayed on the dance floor. They were a really friendly bunch of guys. I also love that they are a "one stop shop" and performed for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. This wedding had an outside event planner so Melissa from JCE may have more insight that I do; but know on my end, I thought they were great!

Hipshack was GREAT! Really, we totally loved them, and so did everyone else at our wedding. They were totally professional and talented, and a lot of fun, and not at all cheesy, and just seemed like generally great guys. Hipshack was excellent! Everyone loved their style and we even had a couple guests join them on stage to help out on drums and vocals :) It was really fun and their music was perfect for our audience. I will definitely recommend them to anyone getting married in the vicinity!

Hipshack was GREAT! They really evolved for our crowd. Things started off pretty mellow as people were arriving, but as the wine began pouring and people warmed up they really started playing some great music that the crowd enjoyed dancing to. Overall the event was a huge success for us.
We definitely will have them back again next year!!!
