>>VIEW SONGLIST
Pamela comes by her love of music and the arts naturally. She has a mother and father who are accomplished artists and five brothers and sisters, all of whom are or were musicians at one time in their lives. She has been singing and playing the piano for as long as she can remember.
Pamela was raised in California where she became active in the music scene, as well as having played leading roles in dozens of stage plays and appeared in scores of motion pictures and television episodes.
She took vocal training from the late, great Judy Davis (Barbra Striesand's vocal coach), took dance instruction from the noted choreographers Arthur Conrad and Rhoda Klitsner, and acting training with the Film Actors Academy, where she won the Best Actress Award.
Pamela's first and enduring love has been for singing jazz and blues. Her professional bookings have included engagements in Las Vegas at such venues as The Paris in Las Vegas and The Rio in New York City..
For five years, Pamela's band was the "house band" at the Ritz Carlton , Marina Del Ray and also performed frequently at Disneyland, the Beverly Hilton , (L.A.), the Hotel Del Coronado (San Diego), and the Mark Hopkins (San Francisco).
In Nashville, she performed for six months at Mere Bulles and has also appeared at Atlantis, Café 123 and "Drink" (the lounge at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel) and most recently at Nashville's newest hot spot Sambuca (Pamela and her band have also performed at the Atlanta, Georgia Sambuca).
Pamela's music is receiving active airplay on Nashville jazz radio, including WFSK, where DJ Sam Ervin has been quoted as saying, "Pamela DeMarche is arguably the finest jazz singer in Nashville."
