From Irish jigs to old time fiddle tunes... from Celtic ballads to country blues... from toe tapping reels to mountain hollers, ODD LEGGED JENNY is an acoustic trio that bridges the closely related musical traditions of Ireland and rural America.
Featuring fluid fiddle, haunting vocals, driving guitar and bass ODD LEGGED JENNY is ideal for weddings, concerts, pubs, private gatherings, school groups, company functions, festivals, wine tastings, restaurants, and more. Odd Legged Jenny can affordably fill your entertainment needs by playing either in the spotlight or background, to large groups or small, amplified or acoustic, as a trio or as a duo.
ODD LEGGED JENNY consists of Alex Caton on fiddle, backing vocals and occasional rhthmn guitar, Phil Audibert on vocals, guitar and occasional harmonica;; and Lew Burrus on standup and electric bass. And then there’s Jenny herself… a wooden stool that fiddler, Alex Caton, brings to all the band’s gigs. The stool stands perfectly straight on four legs, but one leg is turned differently than the other three. On the under side of the seat Alex’s father carved “odd legged jenny.”
