Biography: The Linden Trio

THE LINDEN TRIO is a flute-violin-cello ensemble, playing mostly Mozart,
Haydn, Bach, Handel, and other Classical and Baroque composers. The
marriage of flute and strings invokes an orchestral atmosphere, complementing the strings with the many colors of the flute. THE LINDEN TRIO was founded by a Charlottesville musician in 1996, to provide an opportunity for local classical musicians to bring some of their favorite music to special events.
THE LINDEN TRIO'S standard classical collection adds an elegant ambiance to any occasion - or choose 19th and 20th century music for a fresh, sophisticated sound, or dance with waltzes and rags. At Christmas time, relax to a festive collection of carols and traditional favorites.
For weddings, THE LINDEN TRIO has dozens of choices for your ceremony: time-honored traditional pieces, and many others. You can hear excerpts of many of these on their demo, listening when it's convenient for you. If you have a favorite piece of music not in their repertoire, with a bit of advance
notice, they can usually make an arrangement for the trio.
THE LINDEN TRIO has played in churches, bed & breakfasts, country clubs, private homes, fields and mountain overlooks; while classical music is their forte, they have also played Twila Paris, Celtic tunes, and even "The Secret Wedding" from the movie Braveheart. They have accompanied vocalists, and trumpets (not at the same time!) ... and enjoy expanding their repertoire with new ideas from their clients.
