Biography: Copper Ridge Bluegrass Band
COPPER RIDGE is a Richmond, Virginia based bluegrass band. Formed in the summer of 2001, COPPER RIDGE is comprised of seasoned veterans of the local bluegrass scene, having played in local bands such as J. C. Hale and the Blu Fescue, The Heights of Grass, Bill Clark and the Country Boys, The New Spring Grass and Friendly Henry and the Roots of Bluegrass.
Mark Mills plays the mandolin and sings lead, tenor and harmony parts. Fred Phipps plays the guitar and sings lead and baritone. Charles Jackson plays the fiddle and sings tenor and baritone. Mickey Janosik plays the bass and sings lead volcals. Charles Bishop plays the banjo and fills in as needed on harmony parts. This combination of versatile and talented musicians makes for an easy listening and different arrangement of harmony singing. COPPER RIDGE has their first CD on the market now called "The COPPER RIDGE Way.
